The BSC-Ethereum Bridge Goes Live

DeFi users can now seamlessly transfer assets between the Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum ecosystems quickly and at low cost.

We are excited to launch a bridge that enables bi-directional token transfer between the Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum ecosystems.

The bridge allows users to lock CDT BEP-20 assets into the CheckDot Bridge contract on Binance Smart Chain, and a CDT ERC-20 token will be sent from the Ethereum CheckDot Bridge contract and deposited at the desired address. (The security of the contracts has been audited through multiple weeks of testing and extensive coverage tests). Then the asset becomes available in all DeFi applications on Ethereum and can be transferred back and forth at any time.

This infrastructure is essential to allow CheckDot’s DeFi ecosystem to thrive, while removing a final barrier for existing DeFi projects to be offered to new users of the Ethereum ecosystem.

In addition, the Binance Smart Chain — Ethereum bridge enables low-cost transaction acceleration, while requiring only a few adjustments to smart contracts. On average, competing bridges charge between $20 and $50 per transaction, while here we offer this service for an average of $10 with no significant variation.

How the bridge works

If you want to use CDT in decentralized applications on Ethereum while your CDTs are on Binance Smart Chain, you will be able to lock CDT into the CheckDot Bridge contract, and an equivalent token on Ethereum will be sent to you.

The bridge interacts only with the applications that integrate it, notably bridge.checkdot.io, it is possible to make collaborations so that other applications interact with it.

Visualization of the bridge architecture. -Relayer API detects the events and verifies that the transfers are valid on several blocks then asks the bridge of the target blockchain to send the tokens. -Smart contracts are decentralized contracts that every user can use through web3 interaction.

To transfer CDT tokens from one blockchain to another, you’ll need to send a transaction using the decentralized bridge.checkdot.io application. Below, we list the steps to follow as part of the bridge workflow.

1. Approve the bridge contract to deposit the token(s) on BSC or Ethereum via the approval method.

2. Deposit and lock the approved CDT tokens to the contract with the initTransfer method (Transfer button in the app).

3. A successful deposit will be identifiable via a dedicated hash on all bridges involved, preventing the deposit data from disappearing.

In these last months, we have examined several solutions to communicate between blockchains. We came to the conclusion that for the bridge to be totally decentralized and feasible it would require several months of additional work to arrive at a prototype.

We anticipate that this bridge will be in service for at least a year. We will continue to work towards developing a cheaper and faster option moving forward.

Uniswap here we come Ethereum’s decentralized exchanges open up to CheckDot !

After several weeks without much news for the investors, here is the arrival of CheckDot on Uniswap.

The creation of a Uniswap V3 liquidity pool will be initiated on Sunday, January 29, 2023 with about 50% of the project liquidity.

This means that the CDT token will be tradable on the decentralized Uniswap.org exchange from Sunday, January 29, 2023.

A 1% trading fee pool will be applied on this decentralized exchange, which has as many bots as Binance Smart Chain. To promote the project and marketing, we therefore apply a 1% exotic trading fee on this platform.

The CheckDot bridge transaction explorer

Transparency remains a guiding principle at CheckDot so we have developed an explorer of all the transactions between blockchain BSC and Ethereum of the bridge.

Each user will be able to see all the transactions and their status in real time, as well as the number of available CDT tokens on Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum on live on bridge.checkdot.io

An extraordinary new year

To start this new year 2023, we have a busy first quarter with the release of the bridge and the development of the decentralized betting tool that will arrive in this first quarter.

On the marketing side, we will continue to apply updates to improve the user experience on our insurance services.
